Rival Schools

is a New York post-hardcore band formed in 1999 by vocalist and guitarist Walter Schreifels. Named after the Capcom video game, the group became known for combining melodic songwriting, powerful guitar work, and emotional intensity, establishing a distinctive sound that helped bridge the worlds of hardcore, alternative rock, and the evolving post-hardcore scene.
