Where his debut embraced the absurdity of failure, here the passing of time and the limits of human life begin to creep into view. Mortality, disappointment, and the fear of wasting whatever time remains run through the record, filtered through Stusso's dry humour and cast of damaged characters. Rather than surrendering completely to defeat, he sounds increasingly aware of the need to take back some control.

Across ten concise tracks, ragged guitars, warped production, and blues-rooted rock frame songs that are funny, bleak, and strangely tender. "The Bullshit Century Pt. 1", "Modern Music", and "The Big Car Commercial Payout" sharpen his eye for absurdity, while "Phasing Out", "Terror Management", and the closing title track reveal the anxiety beneath the jokes. Loose and deliberately off-kilter but never careless, 'In Heaven' turns early-thirties unease into a strange meditation on time, failure, and the uncomfortable realization that life becomes more precious when there is less of it left to waste.
