Amebix

Amebix, a pioneering crust punk band from England, formed as "The Band with No Name" and initially ran from 1978 to 1987. They are renowned for blending anarcho-punk with heavy metal, helping to shape the crust punk genre.

Their powerful fusion of doom-laden riffs and intense vocals set the stage for the proto-thrash metal sound. After a reunion from 2008 to 2012, Amebix left a lasting impact on extreme music, influencing bands like Sepultura and Neurosis.
