Self-produced and engineered by Dan Byers, 'Crestfallen' is six tracks clocking in at 30 minutes of sickening, metallic doom guided by feedback and fueled by sour diesel and misery. Inspired by Dystopia, His Hero is Gone, and Laudanum, the album carries a weight far beyond the band’s years. Having shared the stage with Primitive Man, The Body, Jucifer, Celeste, and more, they quickly became Florida’s go-to unsigned band for nationally touring acts.
Weltesser was formed in Saint Petersburg, FL, over a shared love for Sabbath worship and Monolord. Comprised of Ian Hronek (Rotting Palms, Landbridge), Nate Peterson (Rotting Palms, Sky Burial), and Mike Amador (Landbridge), they released their inaugural four-track demo—a syrupy, sludge-ridden cassette—roughly a year before 'Crestfallen'. Their sound is a crushing blend of suffocating doom and raw, nihilistic energy.
