Built from voice, guitar, synth and tape hiss, Dagmar Zuniga’s debut turns intimate folk songs into an enveloping collage. Written over five years and recorded on a Tascam 424, 'in filth your mystery is kingdom / far smile peasant in yellow music' lets the cassette’s fragile, shifting texture shape the compositions. Zuniga layers her voice into a chorus of selves, setting delicate harmonies against detuned guitars, electronic glimmers and static. The result feels devotional and close-miked, yet its blurred edges make each song seem to arrive from somewhere half-remembered.

The album circles back rather than following a conventional sequence: alternate versions of “Even God Gets Stuck In Devotion” and “Plenty For All The Masses” reshape familiar melodies, while short tracks flicker like dream fragments. “LN60: Jupiter opposite Jupiter” drifts from rhythm into organ and drone; “A Car With No Lights on” and “Her Master's Voice” bring a darker spell. Guest musicians add subtle color to its handmade intimacy. The album closes with “To Live Happily,” a wordless wash of static and piano that leaves tenderness alongside its shadows. This unusual work of experimental folk is shaped by patience, texture and imperfect beauty.
