Fronted by the unmistakable Pedro Roque, the EP delivered six tracks of pure hostility packed into just over seven minutes, balancing blast-beat violence with razor-sharp riffs and a deeply confrontational attitude. Recorded in Lisbon and released through Raging Planet, 'Herege' captured the raw energy of a band already operating with remarkable intensity and purpose.

From the relentless attack of "Império do Ódio" and "É Tudo Falso (Hereticamente Falando)" to the crushing brevity of "D.E.A.O." and "Herança Macabra", Besta wasted no time delivering their message. The EP closed with a savage rendition of Napalm Death's "Social Sterility", underlining the band's grindcore roots while reinforcing their uncompromising approach. Fast, abrasive, and fuelled by anger, 'Herege' remains an essential early chapter in Besta's evolution and a potent example of Portuguese extreme music at its most direct.
