The Lurking Fear

was a Swedish death metal band formed in 2016 by members of At The Gates, God Macabre, Disfear, Skitsystem, Tormented, and The Haunted. Rooted in the spirit of early death metal, they drew inspiration from Autopsy, Possessed, and Morbid Angel while embracing themes of cosmic horror, decay, and existential dread. Their music balanced old-school ferocity with a powerful modern edge.
