Unsealed Items

Some items may arrive unsealed for the following reasons:

  • We may open copies ourselves to verify variants (e.g., vinyl colors) if they are not sufficiently labeled by the distributor, label, or publisher.

  • Some products come factory unsealed, as per the distributor’s or manufacturer’s standards.

This does not affect the condition or authenticity of the item.

6. Accuracy of Billing and Account Information

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders at our discretion. You agree to provide accurate, complete purchase and account details, including updated email addresses and credit card information.

7. Stock Availability

Mondo Negro does not work with dead stock, except for pre-order items. All items listed as available are in stock and ready to ship. However, we sell through this website, Discogs, and at festivals/pop-ups. While we strive to keep inventory accurate across platforms, occasional discrepancies may occur. If an item from your order is no longer available, we will contact you immediately. You may choose to replace the item, receive a refund, or cancel the order. If you wish, we can also try to restock the item as soon as possible and notify you when it is available again.

8. Pre-orders

General Information

Pre-order items are clearly marked as "Pre-order" on our website and include an estimated shipping date. When ordering a pre-order item, please note:

  • All items ordered together with a pre-order item will be shipped together once the pre-order is available.

  • The estimated shipping date is subject to manufacturer, distributor, and logistics delays, which are beyond our control.

  • We endeavor to ship all pre-orders on release day, but due to supply chain issues, shipping constraints, or distributor allocation, it may take an additional 2-3 business days before shipment.

Distributor Allocation & Supply Chain Issues

Sometimes, manufacturers and distributors limit stock allocation due to high demand. This means we may receive fewer copies than originally ordered. If this happens:

  • We will distribute stock among existing pre-orders as fairly as possible.

  • If we receive fewer items than expected, we may partially fulfill or cancel and refund affected orders.

  • We will attempt to source additional stock if possible.

Due to global vinyl production delays, record pressing plants often face:

  • Supply chain issues.

  • Staff shortages affecting production timelines.

  • Logistics delays in distribution and shipping.

These factors can result in pre-orders being delayed for weeks or months, but we will communicate updates as soon as we have them.

Payment for Pre-orders

Payment for pre-orders is charged at checkout, not upon shipment. This allows us to secure stock from suppliers in advance. If a pre-order is delayed or canceled due to distributor allocation, we will offer a full refund or alternative options.

9. Delivery Conditions

Delivery conditions, estimated delivery dates, and any supply restrictions can be found on our website or in the respective quote. The risk of accidental loss or damage to goods during shipping transfers to you upon delivery, except when you have arranged independent transport not specified by us.

Economy shipping does not include tracking or insurance. Mondo Negro is not responsible for lost, delayed, or undelivered orders sent via this method. Customers selecting economy shipping assume full responsibility for any issues. We strongly recommend choosing a tracked shipping method for better security.
