MUSTAFA 'When Smoke Rises'

'When Smoke Rises' is the debut solo musical release from Toronto-based, poet, activist and songwriter MUSTAFA. Written in the past 18 months after losing several friends to gun violence, the project is a cross-genre celebration of his friends and narrative vignettes from his community, Regent Park. MUSTAFA describes his work as 'inner city folk music'.
