Slint

was a pioneering post-rock band formed in Louisville, Kentucky in the late 1980s. Comprised of Brian McMahan, David Pajo, Britt Walford, and Todd Brashear, the band is best known for their 1991 album 'Spiderland', a dark, minimal, and intensely atmospheric record that helped lay the groundwork for post-rock. Though short-lived, Slint's influence on underground and experimental rock is monumental.
