Bactherion

were a Portuguese black/doom metal band formed in Lisbon in 1989 by Belathauzer, Jerzegemoth, and Tetragrammaton. Influenced by early extreme metal acts such as Hellhammer and Necro Schizma, they released the cult demo 'The Miracle of Death' in 1991 before evolving into Filii Nigrantium Infernalium.
