SUPERGENIUS is a melodic guitar band drawing influence from indie and punk music spanning three decades of alternative rock. Formed in the summer of 2014 by Vince, Ed, Mich, and Wim, the group sought to create something musically distinct from their previous projects, which included bands like Rise and Fall, Oathbreaker, and Wiegedood. Their debut EP was released through Golden Antenna Records and Palm Reader Records, leading to performances at clubs and festivals.
The band continued crafting their sound, resulting in their first full-length album, 'Supertired'. Recorded by Hein Devos and SUPERGENIUS at De Kreun in Belgium, the album was mixed by Jack Shirley at The Atomic Garden in San Francisco and mastered by Lewis Johns at The Ranch in Southampton. 'Supertired' was released through a collaboration between Hypertension Records and 9000 Records, showcasing their energetic and melodic approach.
