Mothers 'Render Another Ugly Method'
Mothers attempt to exist in two places at once—both singular and collaborative, sprawling and concise. Kristine Leschper, songwriter and founding member, finds inspiration in the space between opposites, where fragmentation creates a multifaceted perspective. Their latest record, 'Render Another Ugly Method', explores expanded views through splintered sound and thought, embodying a dynamic approach to left-of-center indie rock.
Leschper began songwriting after moving to Athens, Georgia, and gained local acclaim for her stark, vulnerable compositions. Collaborating with Matthew Anderegg, she released 'When You Walk A Long Distance You Are Tired' in 2016, followed by extensive touring across the US, UK, and Europe. While collaborators have changed, Leschper and Anderegg remain the creative core, shaping 'Render Another Ugly Method' with Chris Goggans and Drew Kirby into a collection of deconstructed and reconstructed songs.
