Written after the death of vocalist Patrick Flynn’s mother, the three-song EP grew from a period of support and reconnection between bandmates rather than from any planned recording cycle. Working with producer Alex Farrar, the band expands its familiar post-hardcore intensity with more space, melody, and dynamic contrast.

"The Dogs" opens with a burst of gratitude and momentum, celebrating the bonds that have sustained the group through loss. "Porchlight" follows with alternate tunings and soaring melodies, before the title track slows the pace and builds gradually toward a huge, reverb-soaked finale. Across barely eleven minutes, Fiddlehead sound both immediately recognisable and newly open to possibility, using grief not as an endpoint but as a source of movement, connection, and renewal.
