Drew McDowall 'Unnatural Channel'
After the long-overdue release of Drew McDowall’s debut solo album 'Collapse' in 2015, the experimental music underground recognized him as a long-hidden yet crucial figure. Having contributed to groundbreaking recordings with Coil and Psychic TV, as well as collaborating in Compound Eye with Tres Warren, he stepped forward as a singular artist, shaping a movement that had long needed his presence.
His second album for Dais Records, 'Unnatural Channel', delves into unexplored sonic realms. Opening with “Tell Me the Name,” Drew McDowall blends ambient textures with pulsing electronics and fragmented percussion. The album evolves into rhythmic landscapes, fusing industrial structures with techno-inspired cadences, further cementing his place as a visionary in experimental music.
