CAVERNANCIA’s third release and second consecutive for Regulator in 2022, 'no chão' continues their singular, near-obsessive focus on electricity as soul-cleansing ritual. Premiering shortly after a crushing live collaboration with violinist Maria da Rocha at OUT.FEST, the album signals a new evolutionary step in the project’s deepening exploration of sonic terrain.

Where 'manto' hovered in the exosphere of storms, 'no chão' travels close to the earth, where turbines sprout like wild plants generating energy for unspeakable horrors. Recorded in a single take without overdubs, this 30+ minute piece evokes hangars and steampunk slaughterhouses, the air charged with static left by 'manto' lift-off. Yet, as its progression unfolds, it once again expands into cosmic spaces and stellar caverns, leaving us in the end with tunnel vision confusion—unsure if we ever truly left the ground.
