Nearly two decades into their journey, Wolves In The Throne Room have returned with their most majestic album yet. 'Primordial Arcana' is their first entirely self-contained work, with the Weaver brothers and guitarist Kody Keyworth handling all aspects of recording, production, and mixing at their Owl Lodge Studios in Washington state. The album’s title reflects their connection to ancient archetypal energies, expanding beyond black metal to incorporate older musical traditions while maintaining their signature atmospheric intensity.

Drawing from early influences like Deicide and Morbid Angel, 'Primordial Arcana' brings death metal elements to the forefront, alongside a deepened focus on symphonic black metal. “We wanted to emphasize the role of synthesizers to create an epic and grand atmosphere,” Aaron Weaver explains.
