Description

Beautifully delicate and captivating, 'When You Walk a Long Distance You Are Tired' is the debut album from Atlanta's Mothers, who gained attention at CMJ 2015. Produced by Drew Vandenberg (Of Montreal, Deerhunter) at Chase Park Transduction in Athens, Georgia, it features collaborations with Josh McKay of Deerhunter on vibraphone and McKendrick Bearden of Grand Vapids, who contributed bass and string arrangements.

The eight songs, mostly written while Kristine Leschper was finishing art school in 2014, capture the early foundations of Mothers. This debut maps their genesis, reflecting where they began and the direction they were heading.
