Fontaines D.C. 'Romance'

Fontaines D.C. release their eagerly awaited fourth album, 'Romance', via XL Recordings. This is their first collaboration with producer James Ford and marks their most confident and innovative album to date. Building on the success of their acclaimed 2022 album 'Skinty Fia', which topped the UK and Irish charts and earned them "International Group of the Year" at the 2023 Brit Awards, 'Romance' is set to captivate fans further.

The lead single, “Starburster,” reflects lead singer Grian Chatten’s experience with a panic attack at London’s St Pancras station, featuring intense breaths and a dynamic beat. Its music video, directed by Aube Perrie, captures its raw energy vividly.

'Romance' showcases Fontaines D.C.’s most ambitious work yet. Over 11 tracks, the band explores new creative territories influenced by their experiences while touring with Arctic Monkeys and their individual explorations in Spain, LA, Paris, and London. The album blends grungier breaks, dystopian electronica, and dreamy textures, evolving from their early punk roots. Chatten reflects, “We say things on this record we’ve wanted to say for a long time. I never feel like it's over, but it’s nice to feel lighter.”
