John Carpenter 'Lost Themes III: Alive After Death'
Much has changed in the musical life of renowned composer and director John Carpenter since 2016’s 'Lost Themes II'. After releasing the album, he embarked on his first-ever concert tour, performing material from the 'Lost Themes' albums and his iconic film scores. In 2017, he re-recorded many classic movie themes for 'Anthology', collaborating with his son Cody Carpenter and godson Daniel Davies.
The following year, Carpenter was asked to executive produce and compose the music for the new Halloween movie, which became the highest-grossing installment in the series. Now, with 'Lost Themes III: Alive After Death', Carpenter returns with his first album of non-soundtrack music in nearly five years. The trio — Carpenter, Cody Carpenter, and Daniel Davies—continues to collaborate, creating richly textured worlds through synthesizers and guitar. This third album comes amid Carpenter’s cultural resurgence, as his music has received newfound recognition as a pioneer of modern electronic music.
