Shiv Mehra began the Oakland project during downtime from touring with Deafheaven, later expanding it into a six-piece with Dan Tracy, Nadia Kury, Chris Natividad, Ross Peacock and Luis Mayorga. Across nine songs, chiming guitars, drifting vocals and progressive arrangements move between punchy urgency and distant atmosphere.
