Total Nada live in Portugal – May 23 & 24

Total Nada live in Portugal – May 23 & 24

We keep moving forward.

This May, Mondo Negro presents Total Nada in Portugal for the first time, with two shows in Porto and Barreiro. Based in Montreal, the band delivers a fast and direct form of hardcore punk, shaped by the international language of the genre and informed by both European and Latin American traditions. Their approach is stripped down and uncompromising — short, urgent songs built on intensity and clarity.

With tours across Europe, the United States, and Latin America, Total Nada return to the Iberian Peninsula in 2026, bringing with them a sound that is as immediate as it is forceful, rooted in a strong DIY ethic and a clear sense of purpose.

Joining both dates, Haverá Futuro? is a recent Luso-Brazilian project delivering fast and furious D-beat in the traditional Swedish vein, recalling the intensity of bands like Totalitär, combined with a vocal approach rooted in the raw urgency of Brazilian hardcore such as Ratos de Porão. Their sound is direct and confrontational, shaped by lived experience and a perspective informed by discrimination and resistance. Their debut EP stands as a blunt statement — a kick in the teeth and a refusal of the moral stagnation within the punk scene.

The Porto date takes place at Woodstock 69 Rock Bar, setting the tone for a focused and high-energy night.

The following day, the tour continues in Barreiro at Gasoline ACD, this time in a matiné format.

This show also features Xangaih, a band from the south bank formed in 2025, blending street punk, hardcore and Oi! into a raw and direct sound. Their lyrics reflect suburban realities and social tensions, and their growing presence across local venues points to a band finding its place through live shows.

These concerts continue the development of Mondo Negro as a concert promoter, expanding towards a broader program that moves between hardcore punk, post-punk, and other intersections within independent music.

Your presence — and your support in spreading the word, sharing, and bringing others — makes it possible for us to keep building a space for artists who might not otherwise pass through here.

We hope to see you in Porto, in Barreiro — or at both.
