Partisan 'Partisan'
Partisan departs from the norm. While the band members may have roots in past and current hardcore and metal projects (Rise and Fall, Oathbreaker), this is not more of the same. With their post-punk-inspired sound, driven by noisy yet clean and bright guitars and pulsating bass, Partisan channels influences from their collective musical pasts into songs that deliver power and urgency through texture, dynamics, and dark melody.
Massive noise, reverb, and distortion define their sound, but always with a melodic approach and a keen sense of songcraft. Their dark, hypnotic pop tunes, drowned in fuzz and reverb, evoke comparisons to The Jesus and Mary Chain, Killing Joke, The Wipers, and A Place To Bury Strangers. For their debut release on Hypertension Records, Partisan collaborated with producer Michael Neyt at Jetson Studio (Kortrijk), with mastering by Brad Boatright (Beastmilk, Obituary, Corrosion of Conformity).
