A long-standing presence within Portugal's underground black metal scene, Wømb distilled nearly a decade of obscurity and devotion into 'Taciturn', their first standalone EP. Drawing from the primitive fury of raw black metal while incorporating the directness of hardcore punk, the band crafted seven concise tracks built on lo-fi production, scraping vocals, and hypnotic repetition. Influences from early Scandinavian raw black metal could be felt throughout, yet Wømb avoided simple imitation, favouring a stripped-down and ritualistic approach that emphasised atmosphere as much as aggression.

Across tracks such as "He Is The Preacher Of The Gods", "Nychthemeral", and "Ritual Union Through Sex Magick", the EP balanced bursts of speed with eerie, mid-paced passages steeped in occult mysticism. The raw production enhanced the sense of isolation and unease, while the band's disciplined songwriting ensured each composition made its mark despite the release's brief runtime. Harsh, uncompromising, and deeply rooted in the underground, 'Taciturn' served as a compelling introduction to Wømb's bleak and enigmatic vision.
