Iceage 'Seek Shelter'
Iceage’s fifth album, 'Seek Shelter', unveils a new depth of expression, blending their signature edge with elegant vulnerability. Romantic piano ballads, gospel choirs, and psychedelic flourishes mark a sonic evolution, shaped by Sonic Boom’s production and Shawn Everett’s mixing. A decade after 'New Brigade', the band continues to harness their music as a vessel for raw emotion and transformation.
Recorded in a rain-soaked Lisbon studio, 'Seek Shelter' captures a yearning for warmth and salvation in a chaotic world. With an outside producer for the first time, Iceage embraced expansive arrangements, from dripping ceilings to makeshift mood lighting. The Lisboa Gospel Collective’s contributions elevate Rønnenfelt’s incantations, adding a grand scale to the band’s ever-evolving, immersive sound.
