Drab Majesty 'Unknown to the I'

Drab Majesty's first release for Dais Records was the 'Unknown to the I' cassette in 2015, featuring the title track that later appeared on the debut album 'Careless'. The early cuts “Saturn Inc.” and “Ultra Violet” were previously only available digitally or as CD bonus tracks. Now, along with the 'Unarian Dances' 12”, these songs are finally on 45 RPM vinyl, bringing all early Drab Majesty material from the 'Careless' era (2012–2015) to vinyl. Mastered by Josh Bonati with new packaging by Nathaniel Young, this collection captures the project's formative years.

Drab Majesty is the project of Deb DeMure, the androgynous alter ego of L.A. musician Andrew Clinco and partner Mona D. With reverb-drenched guitars, synth bass, commanding vocals, and drum machine beats, the project blends ’80s New Wave with a futuristic edge. DeMure, a multi-instrumentalist, insists the music is channeled from an otherworldly source. More than just sound, Drab Majesty is an experiment in identity, with DeMure’s towering stage presence and harlequin aesthetic creating a striking contrast to the dreamy, ethereal melodies.
